Product Development

BRT has worked with several companies and individuals through the process of an idea, to the prototype, and then to a finished product. Below are just a few examples of the work we have done.

Devol Engineering's Holeshot Device

Maintaining Ted Devol's older and newer products is an ongoing fun project for us. We still do the manufacturing end of this product creating the ring and button base components from 7075 billet aluminum. Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, and KTM each require individual designs and minor changes every year, so this part keeps us busy!

Devol Engineering's 2007 KTM Locking Gas Cap

Once again, this was a project brought to us by Ted Devol. The new KTM bikes had an oddly designed gas tank with an even odder gas cap design. The caps were not meant to screw on like a normal dirtbike, instead they dropped down into grooves and then a quarter turn and you were done. Well, a majority of these caps came loose during events spewing gas all over the rider. BRT helped Ted develop a new billet gas cap with a spring loaded ball that would pop out into a groove inside the gas tank securing it ito place. This design worked much better as Devol Engineering's happy customers came to find out.

Doll Racing's Billet Extended Swing Arm

Doll Racing is a well known name in the competitive hill climbing circles and have spent many years developing their own extended swing arm systems. They brought their ideas to the table and we helped them bring a billet machined swing arm for a CR-500 to the hill. With the help of BRT, Loren Doll achieved a 1st place finish in the Pro Mod class. Congratulations Loren.
